In August, the Gulf of Mexico waters

Written on September 4th, 2010 by adminno shouts

In August, the Gulf of Mexico waters are quite warm and this is like jet fuel to Hurricanes.

Will Hurricane Chris become one of the greatest Hurricanes of the 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season? We shall soon see and you can bet that the National Hurricane Center in Miami is keeping a close up by on Hurricane Chris, while those in Miami shear the changing of the guard in Cuba. Once Hurricane Chris enters the Gulf of Mexico, there will be no good scenarios for the United States of America. Where ever it hits will be devastating and destructive. August Gulf of Mexico Hurricanes are often the worst.

The Hurricane Hunters have already visited Hurricane Chris prior to its becoming a hurricane while it was still a Tropical Storm, at that time it was only 60 mph and looked as if it would brush the North Eastern shore of Puerto Rico. Now it appears it may be headed for the alleyway separating the Atlantic Ocean from the Gulf of Mexico.

Different people, different

Written on September 4th, 2010 by adminno shouts

Different people, different religions, everybody always fighting all the time, etc, etc.

But what do they all have in common? They all believe in the Evil Eye, and they all wear these good luck charms to guard against it.

The Evil Eye is a reminder that underneath it all, we are all the same human beings, even if we think we’re different.

In our eyes, that’s what makes the evil eye REALLY cool!

Enough editorial, now for the straight story…

Throughout the Mediterranean and Middle East, many people believe envious gazes or high praise from others can bring you bad luck.

The people who praise you probably mean you no harm, but still, evil spirits can piggyback in on their words or looks, and put a bad luck curse on you.

The Nazar Boncuk charm (or Evil Eye Bead) is an “eye”, often set on a blue background. It stares back at the world to ward off the evil spirits and keep you safe from harm.

Written on September 4th, 2010 by adminno shouts

Couple all of these factors with the current valuations in the market, with the S&P 500 stocks trading at around 16 times earnings and you can?t help to conclude that the overall market remains bullish.

Although earnings growth has remained strong despite some of the economic indicators slowing down, but the decrease in energy prices are helping the bull.

The only concern is that the immediate future of inflation to wary the market. The core rates of inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) have been been up 0.2% each of the past two months and at this moment the market accepted without too much concern.

There are even analysts argued that some stocks tend to be undervalued at this point, based on the combination of interest rates, bond prices, and earnings growth.

There are risks that we consider worth

Written on September 4th, 2010 by adminno shouts

There are risks that we consider worth taking and those that we would not consider because they are surely headed for a loss.

The worlds of business and finance are not much different from our lives when it comes to risk-taking. In any business venture, owners or shareholders are bound to face risks. Like the risks we face in everyday life, some of these business risks can be easily handled and some cannot, and the process of deciding which is which belongs to the practice of risk management.

Risk management refers to the entire process of identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and treating risks. But since businesses are faced with many different types of risks, risk management specializations have also been created to deal with them. One specialization of risk management is enterprise risk management, which deals with non-financial risks.

And then there’s financial risk management, which is very similar to general risk management with a specialization in a business’s finances. Like general risk management, financial risk management also follows the processes of risk identification, analysis, evaluation, and treatment.

Written on September 4th, 2010 by adminno shouts

Most puppies have worms at some time.

For the first few days, you should feed your puppy the same diet as the owners did. If you wish to change the diet, do so gradually. Each day, feed a little of the new food mixed with the old.

Puppies 6 to 10 weeks old maybe fed 4 times a day. From 10 weeks to 6 months, 3 times a day should be enough. After 6 months, twice daily will serve. And after 1 year, once a day?plus a biscuit for breakfast?is ample.

Meat should be the main part of your dog?s diet. Fresh, canned, or frozen beef or horsemeat are good choices. It is not necessary to cook the meat, but it should be served at room temperature. With the meet, mix a dog meal or kibbled biscuit soaked in hot water, soup, or milk. You can get meal or biscuit in the supermarket, feed store, or pet shop. Puppies need vitamins and minerals, and your veterinarian can give you vitamin tablets that your dog will enjoy chewing.

Other foods you may safely give your dog are well-cooked chicken, lamb, beef hearts, liver, and leafy vegetables. Hard biscuits of the right size for the dog?s mouth and dog candy will be appreciated, too.

Written on September 3rd, 2010 by adminno shouts

Rules are provided only for backward compatibility. CHECK constraints are more concise than rules. A column can have only one rule applied to it. However, multiple CHECK constraints can be applied to a column. CHECK constraints are specified while creating a table, whereas rules are created as separate objects and are bound to the column.

The CREATE RULE statement is used to create a rule. Once a rule has been created, it can be bound to a column or a user-defined data type by using the sp_bindrule system stored procedure.

Triggers

Triggers are special types of stored procedures that are defined to execute automatically when an UPDATE, INSERT, or DELETE statement is issued against a table or view.

In fact, I did that through

Written on September 3rd, 2010 by adminno shouts

In fact, I did that through most of the tour. It was a wonder that he didn’t strangle me by the end of it. It makes it really hard to tell a story if someone keeps interrupting you with questions and comments.

I assessed his stories about his own experiences as mostly true in essence. There was probably some exaggeration or emphasis that comes from the storyteller aspect of his personality and from telling the story multiple times a week. I’d love to sit down with him over a couple of beers (or a nice pot of tea as the case may be) and exchange stories in a more leisurely fashion.

Anyway, before we moved off, he handed out torches and explained the two rules. Rule 1: Don’t shine the torches into people’s homes and Rule 2: Don’t get run over. Note: No lanterns. Torches. Like normal people.

On to Richmond bridge. Lots of stories about that place. I’m not going to go into most of them here.

This can be

Written on September 3rd, 2010 by adminno shouts

This can be terrible for your jeans because most designer jeans have a worn look that is faded in certain areas.

The more you wash them, the more faded they become all around. This makes the fading that the designer made to them less apparent. Use soaps that have the least amount of scent. Scented soap is not that important because you are most likely going to put them in the dryer with a dryer sheet. Try a scented dryer sheet instead. Also try to use detergents that do not have a bleach alternative. Even if it says that it is color safe, it can still fade the color over the life of your jeans.

The most important step when washing your jeans is how you wash them. If you are like most people, you wait until all of your jeans are dirty and then you wash them together. This is a horrible way to wash jeans for one main reason, friction. Denim is a tough material, so having a washer or dryer full of jeans means that they are just scraping against each other. All you have to do is turn the pair of jeans inside out when you wash them.

So recycle your pizza boxes and plastic

Written on September 3rd, 2010 by adminno shouts

So recycle your pizza boxes and plastic wrap, and do yourself and our environment a favor.

Newspaper is great for starting a fire, but it?s not a replacement for firewood. Use just enough to start the fire, and recycle the rest. Don?t use sections with color print, as it contains chemicals that are unsafe to burn. Use the plain, black-and-white parts.

Now put down a layer of crumpled newspapers, snug, but not crammed tightly together. You want space for air to get in, or you?ll have a smoldering pile of papers. Put the papers under the grate.

Next, put down a couple of handfuls of small, dry kindling: twigs and small branches are fine, or small splits of wood. Crisscross them in a few layers, to allow air circulation. Don?t be stingy with the kindling. It?s the key to a one-start fire. Then add a few larger splits, and top it off with a couple of small logs. That?s it. Your fire is ready. Before striking the match make sure your damper is open.

If we were to implement a

Written on September 3rd, 2010 by adminno shouts

If we were to implement a

BankAccount

class, for example, most programmers would immediately guess that this class would have the account balance as one of its data members. They would also guessrightfully sothat the owner of this account is likely to be data member as well. Nevertheless, we should avoid needlessly divulging such details, especially when the contents of a class are not so easily discerned.)

In effect, these

get()

and

set()

member functions are almost as bad as having public data. Sure, they may provide some useful services; for example, the

set()

function could validate the data, ensuring that it is within the proper range of values. Nevertheless, they tend to violate the spirit of information hiding, at least to some degree.

Using

get()

and

set()

functions is not always a bad idea; in fact, sometimes they make perfect sense. Their frequent use, however, is a pretty good indication of a poorly abstracted software designone that does not adhere well to the principle of information hiding.
